There are three PGY1 residency positions available annually on a competitive basis. The program begins approximately July 1, but it is dependent on the staff orientation schedule.

How to Apply

UofL Health - Jewish Hospital complies with ASHP Accreditation requirements and uses the Pharmacy Online Residency Centralized Application Service (PhORCAS) for applying. All applications and supporting documents are due by December 31, 2019. Application materials are as follows:

  • Doctor of Pharmacy
  • Curriculum vitae
  • Letter of intent
  • Official college transcript(s)
  • Three letters of recommendation
  • Eligible for Kentucky licensure

All application materials should be submitted through PhORCAS. PhORCAS is a Web-based tool that brings residency application material together in one location. This is designed to benefit the programs, resident applicants and reference writers to streamline the residency application process.

Applicants must be registered with the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) Residency Matching Program. If positions are not filled with the first phase match, UofL Health - Jewish Hospital will participate in the Phase II match. Phase II applications should also be submitted through PhORCAS.
