Primary Duties Pre-registers, registrar and admits patients. Obtains and verify all information pertaining to patients insurance. Discuss insurance benefits and precertification information with patients. Receives and deposit patient valuables as requested. Receives money and gives change to patients upon request. Distribute admission documents, including patient Labels, identification bracelets, registration forms to ancillary departments. Copies and scans insurance cards and appropriate froms in CPDI scanning systems. Screens all self pay patients for possible financial assistance, collects out of pocket expenses and discuss payment arrangement if applicable. Assist guests with loading/unloading patients when necessary. Displays a positive image of St Jospeh Hospital by demonstrating courteous and professional behavior toward patients, physicians, visitors, volunteers and other employees. Performs other duties as instructed by Department Director or Managers.
