The UofL Health - Jewish Hospital Advanced Heart Failure Therapies Program offers every level of treatment for advanced heart failure (HF), including heart transplantation. The program performed Kentucky's first heart transplant in 1984 and is still a leader today. The team assists transplant candidates with everything from pre-surgery assessments to post-surgery follow-up care to navigating financial concerns. The team's goal is to ensure people with advanced HF continue having a good quality of life after treatment.
