The Daisy Award

Nominate a Nurse for The Daisy Award

The DAISY Program honors and recognizes the skillful, compassionate work nurses do every day at UofL Health. It is sponsored by the DAISY Foundation, which raises funds for nursing research. DAISY is an acronym for Diseases Attacking the Immune System. The award was created by the family of J. Patrick Barnes, who died at age 33 of an immune system disease. His family was so moved by the extraordinary care he received during the last weeks of his life, they were compelled to continue his legacy through honoring nurses with this prestigious award.

UofL Health is proud to be a DAISY Award Partner, recognizing one of our nurses with this special honor every quarter.
