The Education and Professional Development Council provides a forum for nurses to coordinate, define, implement and evaluate education activities and promote staff education and awareness.
The Education and Professional Development Council asks for our nursing professionals input and creative teaching abilities for staff AND patient education. Members are passionate about patient education, safety and meeting diverse challenges of language, culture, knowledge deficits, and making a big DIFFERENCE in quality of care. The education council has representation from the Professional Development (aka Clinical Advancement) UofL System program and members spread the word about how to accomplish the next bedside EBP, QI, or research bedside project and how to complete portfolios for added rewards. We meet in 2017 on the 4th Thursday of the month from 1-3 pm in person on the 6th floor H&L boardroom or via conference call.
